Application integration is the process of integrating various software programs or systems to share functionality or exchange data. To enable effective and efficient communication between the various systems, application integration aims to establish a seamless workflow.

Application integration can be accomplished in a variety of ways, each tailored to the unique requirements of the systems involved. Techniques that are frequently used include:

  • Data integration: The process of developing a model or repository that multiple systems can access to share data and uphold consistency
